Cali-Kinda introduces
young children to a series of fun exercises which aim to increase their
body awareness and physical confidence. Cali-Kinda also assists in
developing co-ordination, balance, strength, flexibility and creativity
through an appreciation of music and rhythm.
The Benefits of
Calisthenics in Early Childhood Programs:
Promotes health and fitness through a fun activity
. Provides
children with the opportunity to improve their body awareness and
physical skills
. Develops
perceptual, fine and gross motor skills
. Encourages
children to develop and improve their co-ordination, mobility, balance,
strength, flexibility and posture
. Provides
children with the opportunity to sing, act and dance
. Invites
children to listen and move with a range of musical styles and assists
in develop rhythm and musical appreciation
. Assists with
the development of concentration skills, memory skills and the ability
to follow directions.
Action introduced this new concept
in 2004 and it has proved to be an
extremely successful option for
our
younger participants. |
