| The Bundoora Calisthenic Club was founded in 1968
by a group of local mothers who wanted to form a club in their area.
Margaret Sprague remains an active and supportive member of our club to
this day. Margaret is the club costume co-ordinator for 2010 and mother
of one of our current coaches, Vanessa Patterson.
In 2008, the club celebrated its 40th Anniversary! A
fantastic evening was organized by the clubs volunteer committee and
members at the Bundoora Hall. Past and current members joined in the
festivities. It was a wonderful evening, filled with lots of laughs and
reminiscing about the "old days".
As a team sport, Calisthenics requires the
positive support, commitment and assistance of pupils, parents, family
members and Coaches. Bundoora Calisthenics Clubs possesses all of
these qualities and has done so for over 40 years.
We hope to continue the tradition of this
wonderful club for another 40 or more years. Once a Bundoora
Calisthenics Member always a member. The club prides itself on its
history and the respect it has earned from the Calisthenics' community
over the past 40 years.
The Club looks forward to the support of past,
current and future members in keeping up the high standard achieved over
