I began calisthenics at the age of 18 months, at Clifton.
I then went on to Regent Calisthenics College at the age of 9,
where I competed and taught calisthenics at the most elite level
for 16 years. As a student, I competed at the highest
level of calisthenics where I achieved great results. I completed my pupil
skills, obtaining the prestigious Gold Medal (this is the highest
achievement in calisthenics skills). |
My most memorable moment has been the
honour of competing in the Royal South Street Society Most Graceful
Girl Solo Competition from 1989 - 1994, being placed most years - this
is an outstanding achievement and something that every calisthenics
student aims for! I have been fortunate enough to have been
involved in many wonderful promotional activities including: USA
Calisthenics Tour, Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony, Hey Hey It's
Saturday Performance, Moomba Parade and many more.
At the
age of 17 I began my coaching career, teaching the Regent
Juniors. Since then, I have been involved in coaching and
Presenting pupil skills, coaching solo's and coaching teams from
Juniors to Seniors at all levels. Today I still coach many solo
students and aim to have one of my students win the Most Graceful Girl
Competition. My long term goal in calisthenics is to develop
Kendara Calisthenics College, providing all of our students every
opportunity to be successful and achieve the highest results possible
in calisthenics that they can!

I began calisthenics at the age of 7 at Watsonia Calisthenics
Club. Here I learnt the many facets of calisthenics and
competed for most of my life, achieving high results and even
gaining the Most Outstanding Club Member Award at the age of 14!
It was here that I also began to teach. When I was 15 I
began helping with the Junior team and went on to assist the
Tinies and Sub Junior sections until I became a qualified coach
in 1998. |
During this time I have also
participated in performing at events such as the Grand Prix, AFL Grand
Final, Moomba, Myer Christmas Parade and more. As a coach I have
taught all age groups from Tinies to Seniors with great success.
I also train young girls in the coaching cadet program. The
Cadet program is a coaching course for calisthenics and I have guided
many young aspiring coaches through this. I have also been
involved in coaching Pupil Skills. In 2005 I was appointed
Assistant Coach for the Junior State team which was a very honourable
role in which I am proud to be a part of. Today I still compete
in Calisthenics and look forward to creating and developing the
wonderful Kendara Calisthenics College.
